True mass is a very good product. i started at 170 and now i am 195. less than 3 months. you wont see the results but stick with it and follow the direction. if it says take it three times daily then u need to do that. i am also using sythnax 6 as another protein. S-6 allows my muscles to heal and get ready to workout tomorrow. i saw a comment above saying that true mass, cell mass and no is good together. ill prolly try out cell mass and see wsup.

Watch out for tooth cavities, Dec 16, 2008

This product has a lot of sugar, and if you have bad teeth like I do, your cavities will ache and get worse. I recommend brushing your teeth immediatly after taking "true mass".
Took 2 tubes of "true mass" over 1 month. Gained only 5 pounds, but, it seems to me it is only muscle, which I like. Have increased my strength. But, I was expecting more weight gain, around 10 pounds, I'm a little bit disappointed.
Did not stack it with anything.
It is very expensive, $60 to $65. and for mild results, not a very good value.
I'm looking for another weight gainer. They say Cytogainer is good, but, I don't want to take creatine yet. So I'll keep looking.
Good luck !!! |

If you cycle this with no xplode and cell mass which i have done the result is deadly, give it a try, well worth it, i would advise you to get a different protein , not syntha 6 because the tub is far too small, |

'Began True Mass to up my protein/caloric intake.
True Mass Strawberry is my favorite; I'll often mix it with a tiny bit of orange juice. Chocolate is decent, though I find it more filling; sometimes I'll mix it with a spoonful of peanut butter which turns it into a Reese Peanut Butter cup Shake (BEWARE: can get nauseating). Vanilla is tolerable, depending on your mood it might taste like pure cake icing.
At first I was exceeding my protein/caloric intake (that is, I mix it with milk and turn my shake into a 80g monster!) with two shakes per day, but the chocolate at night felt heavy and tiring, so I reduced it to a shake in the morning, post-workout.
I like how Strawberry leaves no bloat, I often drink a shake and go right into cooking up my eggs for breakfast.
As for scale results; I weigh myself in my underwear on an empty stomach, every Sunday morning. These are the weekly numbers (each number represents a new Sunday)I'm also cycling NO Explode and Cellmass. Here are the pounds per week (first week was before I started working out): 135, 138, 139, 143, 143, 146, 146, 143, 146, 143, 146, 147, 149, 148, 147, 146, 147, 149.
As you can see it's not a steady climb but it is an overall ascent. The initial month; nearly ten pounds, was exciting, after as you can see it slowed down. Still, I recommend this product over any (none creatine containing) weight gainer. It's a treat that has enough of everything in it to keep me big and strong... well, as big and strong as a 149 pound person can be : ) |

This product is decent. It's better than N-large by far, but its not better than CytoGainer at all. If you want a great weight gainer pick Cyto (because it works great and tastes the best). True mass has an OK taste. |

Weight gainer today at my local GNC and i am currently 5'9" 130lbs and having a difficult time gaining weight with all the cardio and weight training i do. I eat like a fiend, all to no avail, no thanks to my fast metablosim, and active lifestlye. I update this review in a few weeks of consecutive use (also using the reccomended use). (You can contact me via email with the address adjacent to this article, provided that it concerns the quality of the product so far.) |

Afterall BSN has a habit of making great protein powders. The only thing that I am questioning is the recommended use that BSN suggests. It says that you should take 2-4 servings a day, 1 serving=3 scoops=60grams of protein and then some. If you went by that recommendation, you'd be gorging yourself literally. I wish that BSN would make a chart with a weight-use ratio. |

Ok, I just bought my True Mass today. I've had the samples since I work at Smoothie King, and so I made the full purchase. I'm 17, about 6'1", and 178 pounds right now. I've been taking NO-Xplode, Cell Mass, and Nitrix for a month. I bought this stuff cuz I have a crazy fast metabolism and even though I eat like a pig I burn up everything without gaining weight. I want to play football in college next year so I'm gonna try to put on some more lean weight, so you'll hear back from me.
Also, you are supposed to mix 16 ounces of milk or water, the other reviewer is only putting 8-12 so his is thick. The stuff is delicious, and I recommend using a shaker to get it to the correct mixture. I'd say it mixes up about 97 percent, if you don't. |

Im 18 years old, and started out being 140 pounds, 5'12" tall. Putting weight on for me is very difficult, and I knew trying to force feed myself just was'nt going to be enough.
I decided to try BSN's True Mass, and bought the chocolate flavor. They recommend taking three scoops each serving three times a day. Doing this will provide you with 800+ calories just from the powder mix, and up to 150+ calories using 2% milk not to mention the 60+grams of protein!
Now the first negative about their weight gainer is mixing can be very easy if you have a blender BUT you need to mix in alot of water or milk to make it drinkable. Simply trying to put a small glass of milk in will result in cake batter which would properly make you throw up trying to drink down. For three scoops I put in enough milk to pour into 1 and half glasses. Even with that much milk it's still somewhat thick.
So all I do to counter this is use 3 scoops for bedtime sometimes lunch, and around 2 scoops in the morning or afternoon.
Now the actual point...yes this product does work. I started at around 142 pounds and within a couple weeks of using this I was up to 150 pounds and that's not even taking the recommended serving! |
